5/16/10

It is my last Sunday in Oviedo.  By this time next week I'll be on a plane from Madrid bound to Chicago.  Assuming the volcano in Iceland decides that it's had enough of spewing ash, and that it hasn't awoken the real sleeping giant that is situated nearby.  Supposedly if the really big volcano erupts, the ash that it'll emit will black out air travel for months.  More prayers that no more volcanoes erupt!

I have 5 tests this week.  This is my presumed schedule:
Monday: Art History exam
Tuesday: Translation and Hispanoamerica exams
Wednesday: Grammar and Literature exams
Thursday: Receive final grades
Friday: Supposedly no school - possibly an excursion to Parque Principado (a large shopping center that includes a movie theater, bowling alley, and Ikea).

As I am already mostly packed, all I have to do now is sit and study.  But how am I to study for translation?  There is no way I can memorize the proper Spanish translations between Friday, when the professor told us which twenty texts would be on the exam, and Tuesday.  Art history won't be too bad, because everything is common sense, and so is grammar, but that'll be comprehensive.  Then in lit and hispano, very few of us have any idea what is going on, myself included.  Ah well, all will be done soon enough.
