Hi there readers! We're in Spain at last, and I'm pretty sure we are the first to arrive at the hotel.
...Just kidding. There are three other girls who arrived before us.
Anyway, before we got to Oviedo, Abigail and I hit a minor speed bump. Our flight from Madrid to Oviedo were at two different times. We couldn't do anything before we got to Madrid, so there was nothing to do but put it in God's hands, and He is indeed faithful. Nothing else went wrong in changing flights so that we were able to go together. My ATM card works, so I don't have to worry about that either.
After we got to the hotel, Abigail and I decided we were hungry, so we explored a couple of blocks around the hotel and got some food to eat. The cafe we ate at had grilled cheese with ham sandwiches for about 2.5 euros. It made my day. Near there we also found a cell phone store, so we'll hit it up on Monday after we meet our host families. Also there are a lot of stores with sale signs up so will also hit those up, too.
After food I was able to chat with Mom and Dad on Skype, so that was good. I teared up a little. Now it's about 7:30 PM and snowing. Abigail and I were thinking about going to get food later, but because of the snow, we decided we'd make a meal of the airplane snacks and stay in our room, watch a movie or two, and crash.
Hasta la vista!
